My rating: 6/10
Well… I’ve only read the first volume… It’s not that I didn’t
like it. Quite the opposite. This series is high on my mental list
of “When I have money to spend, I’ll probably buy this.” Although when
I think about having to keep up with a series that has 22 volumes and isn’t
even finished yet, I lose interest. For now, I’ll treat Volume 1 as a oneshot.
And it starts off great! The author does a fantastic job of capturing the sense
of relief the main character feels after the apocalypse breaks out. Rarely do
post-apocalyptic stories show just how liberating such an apocalypse can be.
Apart from the constant threat of zombies, you can really do anything!
Go bowling at the local bowling alley, speed down the highway on a motorcycle
without worrying about a ticket, visit famous places without spending a dime on
travel and lodging. This manga makes me dream of that kind of freedom sometimes.
But that’s unlikely. 6/10. Next!

Cóż… przeczytałem tylko pierwszy tom… To wcale nie tak że mi
się nie podobało. Wręcz przeciwnie. Ta seria siedzi wysoko na mojej
liście „Gdy będę mieć kasę do wydania to pewnie będę kupował” w mojej
głowie. Chociaż gdy myślę sobie że mam śledzić serię która ma 22 tomy
i jeszcze się nie skończyła, to mi się odechciewa. Na ten moment
zachowam 1 tom jako oneshot. A zaczyna się fajnie! Autor świetnie oddaje
skalę ulgi jaką główny bohater odczuwa po wybuchu apokalipsy. Rzadko historie
postapokaliptyczne pokazują jaka wyzwalająca taka apokalipsa potrafi być.
Poza stałym zagrożeniem ze strony zombie, to tak naprawdę można wszystko!
Pograć w kręgle w lokalnej kręgielni, pędzić motocyklem po autostradzie bez
martwienia się o mandat, odwiedzić sławne miejsca bez wydawania ani grosza
na podróż i zakwaterowanie. Ta manga sprawia że czasem marzę o takiej wolności.
No ale to jest mało prawdopodobne. 6/10. Następny!
